The 2026 midterm is all about who turns out their base voters, and the best time to reach folks who tend to vote in presidential years but skip midterms is now – well before the traditional election cycle. Here are some opportunities in the coming months to get out and talk with voters about our state court races.
1. Judicial accountability canvassing with the NC Democratic Party (NCDP). Join your local Democratic party to talk with your neighbors about NC Republican judges' record of putting politics before the law. Canvasses are happening in June and early July in counties across the state. Find a Democratic party canvass near you.
2. Court-focused deep canvassing with FLIP NC. On June 29, FLIP NC will kick off our judicial canvassing in Durham with Justice Anita Earls! Monthly FLIP canvasses in Durham are also posted for July and August. During these summer canvasses, we'll talk with left-leaning voters about their concerns and make sure they know about the far-right takeover of our state courts.
Sign up for our Durham canvasses June 29, July 27, and August 17, and stay tuned for pop-up canvasses with our partners around the state.
3. Volunteer with the Earls campaign. Want to connect with Justice Earls’ campaign directly? Sign up here to volunteer.
Donate
Set up a monthly donation – even $5 or $10 per month makes a big difference when enough of us sign up. Monthly donations, especially when they start early, help campaigns get off the ground and plan for the longer term.
4. Donate directly to the candidates. These candidates need our support! Justice Earls will need to raise more than $5 Million to compete in 2026. You can help her and the Democratic candidates for Court of Appeals run strong campaigns by setting up a monthly donation in any amount to Justice Anita Earls, Judge John Arrowood, Judge Toby Hampson, and Judge Christine Walczyk.
5. Donate to the NCDP’s Judicial Coordinated Campaign. The Democratic Party’s Judicial Coordinated Campaign works to help elect all four statewide judicial candidates. Donate to support the NCDP judicial fund.
6. Donate to FLIP NC. FLIP NC runs year-round, data-informed, effective voter outreach. As a volunteer-run organization, our impact per dollar is unmatched. Please consider setting up a small monthly donation to support these efforts!
